Please ensure you have carefully read, and fully understand, the following before placing an order with Floating on Air Designs. If you have any questions, please ask by emailing contactus@floatingonairdesigns.co.uk

We understand that people have busy lives so our working hours are flexible and we often send emails and messages at times outside of ‘normal’ but we do not ask you to do the same. We aim to respond to emails within 72 working hours, although this is often quicker.

Handcrafting with love takes time

Each item within our Wedding Collections, Bespoke or Made to Order ranges is hand crafted, to your individual specifications, with love by Floating on Air Designs. We take pride in creating with care and attention to detail, so absolutely refuse to rush the process and risk a substandard finish. It is, however, important to remember that while we will endeavour to ensure each item is as close to the original as possible, as with all individually handcrafted items there may be very small differences – which simply add to the design’s uniqueness.

Minimum order

There isn’t one! We don’t believe you should be ‘forced’ to order more than you actually need, so whether you want 1 item or 1000 we will give your order the same care and attention. Please be aware, however, that larger quantities do take more time.

Estimates

There are so many individual elements that can affect the cost of each design, so personalised estimates will be provided based on the information provided by the client. Any changes to this information will require an updated estimate. Estimates are valid for 21 days from date of printing. After this time they will require an updated version to ensure maximum accuracy.

Booking & Payment

On acceptance of your estimate, we will reserve space in our production schedule and send you a Booking Confirmation with the full details of your order. We require a non refundable 50% deposit before we order materials or commence work on your order. Production space will be held for 7 working days, but will be released if we have not received your deposit within this time. The remaining balance to be paid before dispatch of your products.

Samples

We offer a sample service. Yes we charge for it BUT the sample you receive will be a personalised sample of your design, in your choice of colours, your wording and font style. Should you decide to proceed with a full order, the cost of the sample will be deducted from your total cost.

Materials

The cardstock and other materials are carefully sourced to ensure the highest quality finish. Where possible, these are from companies that share our environment friendly aims. We recommend ordering all items at the same time to allow all materials to be ordered from the same batch and ensure colour match. While we have every confidence in our suppliers, it is also important that we make you aware there may be be very minor differences from your samples. In the very unlikely event of a chosen material being discontinued we will notify you immediately and discuss alternatives.

Production Times

The production time for your specific order will be dependent on a number of factors including (but not limited to) the receipt & clearance of your deposit, the receipt of all required details, sign off of samples/digital proof of wording (if required), the production schedule at the time of ordering, the design selected, the quantity required, the availability and delivery of materials, the processes needed to produce your design.

Digital & Photographic Proofs

Please be aware that digital proofs may display colours slightly differently to the final product. Text proofs allow you to see and proof read your chosen text and font. Please note it is your responsibility to ensure all details are provided accurately. It sounds obvious – but proof read all samples very carefully. Pay particular attention to names, locations and email addresses. We recommend asking for a second (or even a third) pair of eyes to check the all important details before signing them off – it’s so easy to miss something in the excitement.

Amendments

Once you have signed off the proofs and paid your deposit, we will order materials and begin production. Any changes at this stage will incur additional costs which will be quoted separately and require full payment before production continues. This can be costly in terms of payment due, reordering materials and production schedule changes. Any items ordered specifically for your order will still be charged.

Cancellations

We hope this is an unnecessary clause but also understand that, occasionally, life can throw you an unavoidable curveball (we’ve been there) Due to the bespoke nature of your order, your deposit is non refundable and we reserve the right to charge for all production costs to that point. However, we are human too and ask that you contact us as soon as possible should a delay/cancellation be necessary. We will then stop production and discuss delaying further production and dispatch, or other ways we may be able to assist.

Postage

Due to recent changes in GSPR Regulations we are currently only able to dispatch to a UK Mainland address.

Packaging & Delivery

We have taken the Naked Card Campaign Pledge to reduce plastic packaging and are working towards Silver Plastic Free Champion status, so the finished items will be supplied wrapped in tissue paper. We often recycle the packaging from our deliveries to send our products – this is kinder to the environment and reduces costs to you.

2nd class inland postage is included in the price of our Ready to Print and Made to Order ranges.

1st Class inland postage is included in our Bespoke Design Service

We use a fully insured Next Day Postal Service for our Wedding Collections which will be charged at cost and invoiced separately to your stationery. Split deliveries will be charged individually.

Please be aware that once dispatched, we have no control over the delivery of your order.

Products damaged in the post

Obviously, we will do all we can to package your products in a way that will allow for safe delivery. However, should anything be damaged in the post we ask that you email us with photographs within 48hours of delivery to allow us to raise the appropriate claim with the carrier (Signed For and Special Delivery only) We will then discuss with you how we can assist.

Social Media & Newsletters

Floating on Air Designs often share Behind the Scenes and Work in Progress posts on social media and in our newsletters and reserve the right to use images, timelapse and short videos which may include elements of your design in production. Rest assured though, we will never display your individual design in full before delivery. If you would prefer that your design/stationery was not shared in this way please ensure you indicate this on your booking form.

Personal Details

We will never ask for more personal details than are required for the purpose of creating your chosen products and keeping you informed. They will be stored securely and will never be shared or sold.
